Interest rate
The interest rate on the loan is fixed for the duration of the contract. Additional borrowing will be charged
at the prevailing rate of interest at the time that the new monies are advanced. Therefore different advances will have
different interest rates. Note – all interest rates will be fixed for the life of the mortgage. The prevailing rate is
determined by mortgage company, taking into account the market environment.
Property valuation

The initial loan, additional drawdowns and the various plan options are all determined by reference to the value of the
customer’s property.
The property valuation principles are as follows:
1. The property is valued at the inception of the loan based on current market valuation by an independent valuer
instructed by the mortgage company
2. The offer document will clearly state the property value. In accepting the offer the customer is also accepting the
assessment of the property value.
3. All plan options determined by reference to the property value will be calculated based on the initial property value.
4.Market rises and falls in the property value will, therefore, not affect the level and range of options/benefits/features
available under the contract.
